"I've been working at PGIC since 2004, when I came back to Canada after teaching English in Europe. I really enjoy teaching here, because the students are so enthusiastic and motivated to learn English. I've taught almost every level at PGIC, but my favourite classes are the Cambridge classes, because the students study very hard and make lots of progress, so they can get an important qualification that can help them in their future studies or careers. I love learning languages - I can speak French, German, and a little Chinese - and I think that the experience of learning languages makes me a more effective and understanding teacher, who can really understand my students' needs."

私がPGICを選んだ理由は「English Only Policy」があり本気で英語を勉強するには最高の学校だと思ったからです。そしてPGICは本当に最適な場所です。PGICではもちろん、学校の外でも会話はすべて英語。朝起きた時から、夜寝るまで英語漬けの毎日です。もちろん大変なことも多いですがクラスメートに負けないようにと刺激を受けながら頑張っています。もう一つPGICをお勧めしたい理由は、日本人カウンセラーによるサポートが充実している点です。何か生活面や勉強面で困ったことや、相談があるときは日本語もOKです。いつもとても親身になって聞いてくださり安心して相談できます。

本気で英語を勉強したければPGICは最高の学校です。

PGICでは生徒の発言、意見交換、発表の場たくさんありとてもスピーキング、リスニングの勉強になりました。また、私はインターンも学校と並行して参加しており、そこで驚いたことは、学校で習ったビジネス英語をそのまま実践できたことです。日常会話からビジネス英語までﾒ使える英語ﾓを習得できました！またPGICと他の学校と違うところは学校外でカナディアンやネイティブスピーカーと話す機会ができるようたくさんの工夫があることです。はじめの頃はそれに緊張もしましたが、慣れると自然と街の人と仲良く喋ることができたり、と自分の成長が日常から感じられました。他にも先生のカウンセリングや丁寧な指導など、授業や勉強だけでなく、さまざまな面で大満足な留学生活がPGICで過ごせました！ありがとうございます！

「English Only Policy」PGICといえばこれです。バンクーバーにはたくさんのESLがありますが、PGICではかなり英語力を鍛えられました。せっかく海外留学に来たのに日本人同士で集まるとつい日本語になってしまう・・・という話をよく聞きますが、PGICでは母語は必要最低限。学校外でも積極的に英語でコミュニケーションをとろうと努力している人が大半です。英語が上手い・下手、ではなく、どれだけ一生懸命英語でコミュニケーションをとろうとすることができるか。その姿勢が大切だということをPGICで学びました。また、先生のクオリティーがとても高いのもPGICの良いところ。わからないことや質問があるときに、わかりやすく説明してくれるのはもちろん、授業外でもたくさん話しかけてきてくれます。生徒のことをよく理解してくれる上、授業も楽しいものばかりで、とても有意義な時間をPGICで過ごす事ができました。ほかにも放課後のワークショップや異文化体験などなど・・・PGICだからこそ学べることがたくさんあります。バンクーバーでの留学を考えている方には自信をもってPGICをおすすめします。
