It's been interesting for me to understand more about Japanese culture.

I've had nothing but good experiences with U23 Homestay Program. Students you've sent me have always been courteous and polite and it's been interesting for me to understand more about Japanese culture. (I'm hoping one day to be able to visit japan).

In the best of worlds these arrangements are a "win win" for both parties. I've enjoyed the company they present and my students have enjoyed being in a home setting and in part being party of my family. cheers jj

日本の文化に興味を持ち、もっと知りたいと思うようになりました。

U23のホームステイプログラムは本当にいいこと尽くしです。U23に紹介してもらった留学生はみんな親切で礼儀が良く、日本の文化に興味を持ち、もっと知りたいと思うようになりました。（いつか日本に訪れたいと思っています。）

"Win-Win"両者にとってハッピーというU23のホームステイアレンジメントを表すのに最もいい言葉があります。留学生が家にいると毎日が賑やかで楽しく、生徒さんも私の家でホームステイをしている時間を楽しんでて、本当に家族の一員のようです。

I have very much enjoyed having homestay students. It is a wonderful cultural learning exchange for myself and the students.

I enjoy going for dinner with my students and introducing them to Canadian traditions. For example I have gone ice skating with my students.

ホストファミリーと留学生の両者にとって文化の交流が出来る素晴らしい場だと思います。

私はホームステイをしている留学生たちとの生活をとても楽しんでいます。ホームステイプログラムは、ホストファミリーと留学生の両者にとって文化の交流が出来る素晴らしい場だと思います。

留学生と一緒にレストランへ食事に出掛けたり、カナダの文化を紹介したりととても楽しんでいます。例えば、留学生とスケートに行ったりもしたんですよ。

If I had some concerns I have no problem talking to Izumi by telephone and try to work out what is best for the students and homestay.

Our homestay has been very successfull since we started about 3 years ago. We are a friendly family and like to help the students while they are in our home staying with us. We know what it is like living in another country away from home.

Cooking sometimes can be a problem to me as I make a lot of Irish dishes all the time so I hope the students like the food that I prepare for them. I have never heard a bad comment about my cooking from the students they always tell me it is very good.

Many of the students that have come to stay with us as always kept in touch with us. That is great for us as we are very interested how the students are doing whenever they leave our home. This is difficult for us as we grow very close to them as they are part of our family now.

The homestay family respect the students and they in return respect us. They know they can always call me if they have a problem as I am a good listener, and I am always told that I give good advice and that makes me very happy to hear that.

Izumi from U23 as always been very nice to me. If I had some concerns I have no problem talking to Izumi by telephone and try to work out what is best for the students and homestay.

何か気にかかることがあった場合、U23のいずみさんに気兼ねなく相談をすることができ、留学生とホストの両方にとって一番良い解決策を一緒になって考えてくれます。

ホームステイを始めた3年前から、私の家でのホームステイはずっと順調に行っています。私達一家はみんなとても明るく、また他の国で暮らすことの大変さを知っているため、留学生が家にいる間は、カナダでの貴重な時間を少しでも多く楽しんでもらいたいと思い、留学生の手助けにも快く応じています。

私はいつもアイルランド料理ばかりを作るので、料理については少し心配です。でも、今までに留学生から、いつも美味しいと言ってくれて、料理の悪いコメントを聞かないので、私の料理を気に入ってくれているといいです。

今まで私の家でホームステイを経験した多くの留学生とは今でも連絡を取り合っています。ホームステイを終了した後、彼女たちがどこにいて何をしているのかを聞く事で、お互い遠く離れた所にいるけれど、今もまだお互い近くにいるかの様で、連絡を取り合う事はとても大切な事だと思います。

私たちホストファミリーと留学生は、お互い尊敬し合っています。彼らが何か問題を抱えている時は、いつでも電話をもらう事は大歓迎です。よい相談相手になると思います。みんなから私のアドバイスは役に立つと言われるので、少しでも彼女たちの力になれる事を嬉しく思っています。

U23のいずみさんはいつも親切で、何か気にかかることがあった場合、いずみさんに気兼ねなく相談をすることができ、留学生とホストの両方にとって一番良い解決策を一緒になって考えてくれます。

I know the students like us as a family as well.

Since I started hosting students from different countries our family have learned a lot and got even stronger as a family. We love having students around us, they teach us alot about their culture and it is fascinating. They also teach us to be nice to each other, helpful to each other and even about manners towards each other.

I know the students like us as a family as well. They love talking to us regarding anything. They know that they are here to study english and no matter what they know that they can ask me anything that they want without being embarraced. After a couple of hours at our house the students always feel comfortable, because we are a casual and comfortable family. Every student that I had in my house they still contact us by email and I love receiveng email and sending them email as well.

In my house one thing that I always heard the students say is that they love my food, my cooking. I do try my best because cooking for my family makes me happy and my family consists of everybody living under one roof, that means including every student that is at my house.

留学生は私達を本当の家族の様に思ってくれています。

他の国からの留学生をホームステイに向かえるようになってから、お互い思いやりを持って接する事、お互い助け合う事、さらに礼儀正しく接することなどの多くの事を留学生から学び、そのおかげで私達家族の絆が前よりも一層強くなりました。留学生から彼女たちの国の文化を教わったりもし、留学生が家にいてくれると毎日が新鮮で楽しいです。

留学生は私達を本当の家族の様に思ってくれています。英語を学ぶためにここにいて、遠慮や恥ずかしがる事なく色々な事を聞いたり話したりしてくれ、私達も彼らの力になれて嬉しいです。私達は気さくで暖かい家族なので、留学生がこの家に来て数時間後には緊張も解け、お互いに仲良くなっていきます。ホームステイを終了した留学生と今でもメールで連絡を取り合い、このようにメールのやり取りをする事を嬉しく思っています。

私は一つ屋根の下で暮らすみんなを家族だと思い、家族のために料理を作る事をとても幸せな事だと思っているので、毎日料理を頑張って作っています。みんなが私は料理が上手で、私の料理が大好きだと言ってくれ、凄く嬉しく、料理を頑張る甲斐があります。

Alistair and I have found the students to be polite and very respectful.They like the food that we prepare for them and they always thank us for what we do for them, which is always nice to hear.

A number of them have become attached to the cat and make a big fuss of her, which she really enjoys. Tinker must be the most photographed cat I know.I thought you might like to see her so I have attached a picture.

Some of the students who have stayed with us have kept in touch by email and by cards at　Christmas. It is always nice to hear from them.

滞在した留学生とクリスマスにはEメールやカードで連絡をとり続けています

留学生はとても丁寧で礼儀が良いです。私達が用意した食事をいつも美味しいと言ってくれます。私たちが何かをしてあげるといつも感謝をしてくれ、ホストをしていてよかったなあと本当に嬉しいです。

留学生の中には、うちで飼っている猫ととても仲良くなり、いつも猫と遊んでいて、猫も楽しんでいる様です。Tinkerは私の知っている中では一番多く写真を取られた猫ですね。私の猫の写真を写真を添付してもいいですよ。

私の家でホームステイをした留学生の何人かとは今でもメールで連絡を取り合い、クリスマスやお正月にはポストカードを送ったり受け取ったりもします。留学生からの連絡をいつも楽しみにしています。

We have a family room in the basement and this is where we hang out.

High Park is a very friendly community with lots of parks and trees.

Our house is very busy and we like to have lots of music. Harvey is a music teacher and he teaches drums and guitar in our home.

We also have a piano. We also like to play tennis, badminton and soccer.There is a backyard where Yolanda and Maddy like to play. We have a family room in the basement and this is where we hang out.

We have hosted many students from Japan and had lots of fun.

我が家のベースメント（地下にある部屋）は家族団らんの場です。

私の家の近くにはハイパーク周辺には多くの木々と公園があり、とても暮らしやすい場所です。

Harveyは音楽の先生でドラムとギターを家で教えていて、家にはピアノもあり、私達の家はいつも賑やかで音楽が絶えないのですよ。

私達はテニスにバトミントン、サッカーも好きです。家には裏庭があり、YolandaとMaddyがいつも裏庭で遊んでいます。家には地下室もあり、家族団らんの場となっています。

私達は今までに日本からの留学生を多く受け入れ、いつも生徒さんとの時間を楽しんでいます。
